How often do hybrids need oil changes compared to gas cars?

Hybrids can sometimes go longer between oil changes than traditional gas cars because their engines run less often, but they still need oil changes on a regular schedule. Many hybrids call for oil changes every 5,000 to 10,000 miles depending on the model, and most use low-viscosity full synthetic oil like 0W-20. The catch is that because a hybrid engine starts and stops frequently and may run only intermittently, moisture and fuel can dilute the oil, so the time-based interval matters as much as mileage. In Miami's heat and city traffic, following the manufacturer's schedule keeps your hybrid engine protected during the times it does run. Motoro Cars' ASE-certified technicians are experienced with hybrid maintenance and use the correct synthetic oil. Keep your hybrid healthy with our $29.99 synthetic oil change and 33-point inspection. Call Wynwood at (786) 634-2002 or Doral at (786) 633-3220.
