Check Engine Lights

What do codes P0301 through P0308 mean?

Codes P0301 through P0308 each indicate a misfire in a specific cylinder, where the last digit identifies the cylinder number, so P0301 is cylinder 1, P0302 is cylinder 2, and so on. A single-cylinder misfire is often easier to pinpoint than a random P0300 because the code already tells you which cylinder is affected. Common causes include a bad spark plug, a failing ignition coil, a clogged fuel injector, or low compression in that cylinder. A flashing check engine light alongside these codes means stop driving to avoid catalytic converter damage. A computerized diagnostic confirms whether the problem is ignition, fuel, or mechanical. At Motoro Cars in Miami, our ASE-certified, AAA-approved technicians test the specific cylinder and component to find the true cause. Call Wynwood at (786) 634-2002 or Doral at (786) 633-3220 to get your misfire repaired right.
