What does code P0456 mean?
Code P0456 means a small or very small leak has been detected in the evaporative emission control system. Because the leak is tiny, it can be one of the hardest faults to track down, but the usual suspects are still a slightly loose or worn gas cap, a small crack in an EVAP hose, or a purge or vent valve that does not seal completely. Start by replacing the gas cap, since it is inexpensive and a frequent cause. If the code returns, a professional smoke test pressurizes the system and reveals exactly where vapor escapes. At Motoro Cars in Miami, our ASE-certified, AAA-approved technicians use computerized diagnostics and smoke testing to find even the smallest EVAP leaks without guesswork. Call Wynwood at (786) 634-2002 or Doral at (786) 633-3220 to get your P0456 code resolved and your emissions system fully sealed.
