Why is my car AC blowing hot air on one side only?
If your car AC blows cold on one side and warm on the other, the most common cause is a stuck or failed blend door actuator in a dual-zone climate system, though low refrigerant can also cause uneven cooling. The blend door controls how much hot and cold air mixes for each side of the cabin, and when its small electric actuator fails, one zone gets stuck pulling heat from the engine. You may even hear a faint clicking or knocking behind the dash as the actuator struggles. Less often, a very low refrigerant charge cools only part of the evaporator. At Motoro Cars, our ASE-certified technicians use factory-level diagnostics to tell whether the issue is the actuator, a control module, or the refrigerant charge, so you get the right fix the first time. Serving Miami from Wynwood and Doral, we restore even, comfortable cooling. Call (786) 634-2002 or book at motorocars.com.
