Why does my AC cool fine then suddenly stop?
If your car AC cools well for a while then suddenly stops, the most likely causes are the evaporator icing up, a failing pressure switch or sensor, or a compressor clutch cutting out. When ice forms on the evaporator from moisture or a charge problem, it eventually blocks airflow and the AC blows warm until it thaws, then the cycle repeats. An intermittent electrical fault, common in Miami's heat and salt-air corrosion, can also cut power to the compressor without warning. This on-again, off-again behavior is frustrating and points to a specific underlying issue worth diagnosing. At Motoro Cars, our ASE-certified technicians monitor the system over a full cooling cycle to catch intermittent faults that a quick check might miss. Serving Miami from Wynwood and Doral, we find what others overlook. Call (786) 634-2002 or book a diagnosis at motorocars.com before the heat wins.
