Brake Repair

What does it mean when my brake pedal goes to the floor?

A brake pedal that sinks slowly or all the way to the floor is a serious safety problem that usually means you are losing hydraulic pressure. The most common causes are a brake fluid leak in a line, hose, or caliper, or a failing master cylinder that can no longer hold pressure. Air in the brake lines can also cause a sinking pedal. When the pedal does not hold firm, your stopping power is compromised and the vehicle is unsafe to drive. If this happens, you should stop driving and have it towed or inspected immediately rather than risk a stop you cannot make. At Motoro Cars, our free brake inspection checks the master cylinder, lines, hoses, and fluid level to find the leak fast. Our ASE-certified techs in Wynwood and Doral can help. Call Wynwood at (786) 634-2002 or Doral at (786) 633-3220 right away.
