Can I drive with a grinding noise from my brakes?

You should not keep driving with grinding brakes, because grinding usually means the pads are completely worn and metal is contacting metal. Every stop in this condition scores and destroys your rotors, lengthens your stopping distance, and can lead to brake failure. What might have been an affordable pad replacement quickly becomes a costlier rotor and pad job, and the safety risk grows with each mile. In some cases grinding comes from a rock or debris caught in the brakes, but you cannot assume that without an inspection. The safe move is to limit driving and get the brakes checked as soon as possible. At Motoro Cars, our free brake inspection identifies the exact cause of the grinding and whether your rotors can be saved. Our ASE-certified, AAA-approved techs in Wynwood and Doral can help fast. Call Wynwood at (786) 634-2002 or Doral at (786) 633-3220 right away.
