AC Repair

Why is my car AC leaking refrigerant?

Car AC refrigerant leaks most often come from worn rubber O-rings and seals, a corroded condenser, cracked hoses, or a leaking compressor shaft seal. Miami's heat, humidity, and salt air accelerate corrosion, making leaks especially common on local vehicles. Refrigerant leaks are usually slow, so you may notice the AC cooling less effectively over weeks rather than failing all at once. Because refrigerant escapes as a gas, you rarely see a puddle, which is why proper leak detection matters. At Motoro Cars, our ASE-certified technicians inject UV dye or use an electronic detector to pinpoint exactly where the system is losing refrigerant, then replace only the failed parts. This is far smarter than repeated recharges that mask the problem. Once sealed, your AC holds its charge and cools reliably through summer. Call (786) 634-2002 or visit motorocars.com to stop the leak for good.
