AC Repair

Why does my car AC stop working when it rains?

If your car AC stops working when it rains, the cause is usually moisture reaching corroded electrical connectors, a failing pressure sensor, or water intrusion at a wiring harness. Miami's frequent heavy rain combined with salt-air corrosion makes electrical AC faults especially common here. When water seeps into a compromised connector, it can interrupt the signal to the compressor clutch or a control sensor, cutting cooling until things dry out. Because the problem comes and goes with the weather, it can be tricky to diagnose without testing under the right conditions. At Motoro Cars, our ASE-certified technicians inspect AC wiring, connectors, and sensors for the corrosion and moisture intrusion that cause rain-related failures. Sealing or repairing the affected connection restores reliable cooling. Serving Miami from Wynwood and Doral, we know exactly how our wet climate affects vehicle electronics. Call (786) 633-3220 or book at motorocars.com to get it fixed.
