Brake Repair

How often should I replace my brake pads?

Most brake pads last between 25,000 and 70,000 miles, but the exact interval depends heavily on how and where you drive. Miami stop-and-go traffic, frequent braking, and a heavy foot wear pads faster, often putting drivers toward the lower end of that range. Highway commuters with light braking can reach the higher end. Pad material matters too, since ceramic and harder compounds often last longer than soft semi-metallic pads. Rather than relying on mileage alone, the best approach is to measure remaining pad thickness, since new pads start around 10 to 12 millimeters and should be replaced near 3 millimeters. At Motoro Cars, our free brake inspection measures your pads precisely so you replace them at the right time, not too early or too late. Call our Wynwood shop at (786) 634-2002 or Doral at (786) 633-3220 to schedule.
