Brake Repair

Should I replace brake pads on both sides at the same time?

Yes, you should always replace brake pads on both wheels of the same axle at the same time, not just one side. Both wheels on an axle need matching pad thickness and friction material so they brake evenly. If you replace only one side, the uneven braking force can cause the car to pull, wear parts unevenly, and reduce control during hard stops. So a proper front brake job covers both front wheels, and a rear job covers both rear wheels. You do not, however, have to replace front and rear at the same time, since those axles wear at different rates and can be serviced separately based on actual wear. At Motoro Cars, our free brake inspection measures every corner so you replace exactly what is needed, in pairs. Our ASE-certified techs in Wynwood and Doral can help. Call Wynwood at (786) 634-2002 or Doral at (786) 633-3220 today.
